Mary Jane's Crochet: Recipe - Tomato Beef Soup with Bacon

Layered Ground Beef Casserole

1 ground beef
sliced onions
sliced potatoes
1 can tomato soup, undiluted
salt & pepper to taste

Press down a layer of UNcooked ground beef (½ the amount of beef you are using) in the bottom of a meatloaf pan or casserole dish. Salt & pepper the beef. Place a layer of sliced potatoes on top of beef (salt & pepper this also) Place a layer of sliced onions on top of potatoes (salt & pepper) Repeat layers one more time, salt & pepper each layer. Pour undiluted tomato soup all over top. Bake in 375 degree oven for 1 & ½ hours or until done. Some people add 1 can drained green beans, but I like it w/o the beans. Others have used mushroom soup, but I like the tomato soup best. This is quick & easy to prepare, and is delicious! Serve w/ green vegetable or salad. Btw, you can double this and use 2 lbs of beef, and more pot & onions, but if you double it, use 2 cans of tom soup & cook it longer.
